On Sunday May 15th, Acting Consul-General Yasufumi Kotake attended the opening of the Japan Festival 2011 organized by the Japan Club of Victoria at the Box Hill Town Hall and TAFE, and delivered a speech.
Mr Robert Clark, Attorney-General and Minister for Finance of the Victorian Government (on behalf of the Premier Ted Baillieu), Ms Anna Burke, Federal Member for Chisholm and Cr Ben Stennett, Mayor of the City of Whitehorse, also spoke at the event. In spite of the cold weather, the Festival was very successful and attracted a large crowd.
