Spring has arrived! The Australia-Japan Society of Victoria, in cooperation with Parks Victoria, has organised a hanami picnic day on Sunday the 25th of September.
In manga, in movies, we’ve seen it so many times. Now it’s your turn to celebrate the arrival of spring the Japanese way. Beautiful flowers? That’s all? Of course not! Ikebana & Japanese calligraphy demonstrations, green tea and heaps more are waiting for you.
Cherry blossoms usually last no more than two weeks, so don’t miss it! See you there!
Hot Tips:
Arrive early to ensure the best spots for flower-viewing
Do it the Japanese way: bring your picnic baskets and mats. Impress your friends with bento-boxes (relax, we’ve got it sorted out).
Be creative and enjoy a sweet pink Sunday with family and friends.
