Ramen Ya presents: Ramen-Eating Competition 2011

Ramen-Eating Competition 2011

Well-known among Melbourne’s ramen (Japanese noodle) aficionados, Ramen Ya is preparing for the ultimate foodie battle – a ramen-eating competition organised in conjunction with the Melbourne University Anime Club!

This annual event is taking place in Ramen Ya’s Bourke St premises on Saturday 29 October 2011 at 2pm.

Open to members of various university Anime (Japanese animation) Clubs, the competition is gearing up to be a matter not just of personal ambition, but university pride. Competitors will be competing in 2 different categories, individual and by university, to establish the person/university group that can consume the most number of noodle serves in a fifteen minute period. There will also be a prize awarded to the person with the best style (whatever that means!)

Ramen being a cult item in Japanese Anime culture, the competition will be a fun event to participate in and watch, with all proceeds from the event going to a charity of the university’s choice.

Ramen Ya would like to welcome you to attend our event. If you would like any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us on the details below.
